Pretty much whenever I want to. I will work intensely, seven days a week, day and night, when I'm working on a project, then between projects take a week or two for lying around and doing nothing. I don't have a boss and don't punch a clock. I have enough savings and investments that I can work or not work, as I please, but I enjoy working.

Sounds pretty ideal for you!

The life of an international Mafia hitman is not all a bed of roses, though. Just making an observation.

What sort of hours do you work?

[–] 2 pts

11pm to 7:30 am I hate it.

You were not put on Earth to do this. Start planning a major life change today.

It's on it's way. Doing some training that should get me off third.

When people ask though, I will say "I must bow to the wisdom of Anus-Expander"

"I must bow to the wisdom of Anus-Expander"

you will go far, fren.

------I have made several radical moves/life changes in my 55 years, and almost never regretted any of them. Tip: never get back with an ex GF.

Those are retail hours.

I don't know any retail store open at those times. I herd pajeets. My job is to babysit streetshitting currynigs

I work third as well but I love it. I do my best work between 2-5am. It's imperative that you get enough sleep during the day though.

I loved it when my job was less hands on. When my company started third we had no work, I did side projects, studied, and watched movies.

Then we had plenty of somewhat challenging work with plenty of resources and a wild west mandate to do what needed to be done. It was a crazy time. I discovered about a dozen proprietary and need-to-know documents posted publicly just by searching for solutions.

Now I literally babysit Pajeets. Either it's asking them to enter their password and watching them screw up, or babysitting them on forms they should be doing themselves, or new products with jealously guarded tech specs so we have to send it to another team.

Oh. I thought it was the shift you hate. Yeah, diversity hires are a bitch. They make you look like a fucking genius though.

Whatever I want, usually 5-6 hours a day. I take a day off whenever I feel like it.

None when what you do brings you pride and money

During projects, work is light and easy at the start, and gradually ramps up. Near the end we are running around like headless chickens putting in crazy hours until the deadline. Then I take a month or two off, rinse and repeat.

Four, hour break, then 8.5 additional hours.

8 to 5 until I leave the state or country for automation projects, then it’s like working 24 hours per day.
