mechanical, would like to buy several. I havent found them to be plentiful at all. Price does matter.
So, on the more affordable side, look to ETA or Seiko movements. Back when I was into watches, I was on PMWF.com but they are either gone, or migrated to kikebook... used to have a spreadsheet of All kinds of watches at all kind of prices (but usually $100~300, which is cheap in the world of watches).
Check brands Sekio, Hamilton, Citizen, Tissot, Orient, and Vostok. There are a TON of others out there, so search by movement. I usually went with independent watchmakers, like MKII (shit, those things are 2~3 times more expensive now than the last time I bought one). I wouldn't rule out Automatic watches (still mechanical, may not have a manual wind option though).
My wife has had good luck getting old mechanical Russian made watches on Etsy. Looks like there are a fucking half million results on ebay, several pages of them for under $100
