Ear plugs. Suppressors. Really, those are your only answers. I know it seems like a bullshit copout, but im just giving you the facts. Hearing loss is nothing to laught at in my book. Good luck. That shit cant be "treated". Whatever hearing you lose, you can not get back. Not with current medical technology. Protect whqt you have now because you cant get it back.

Ear plugs don't work for tinnitus, the sound is coming from the inside!!! Ear plugs actually amplify it.

Yeah, earplugs prevent tinnitus. If you already have it youre fucked. But hearing protection will still prevent yoy from doing further damage.

Odd anecdote for you but perhaps of help in avoiding gimmick treatments.

I have been 100% deaf in one ear since age 5. Mumps killed the auditory nerve. I have really bad tinnitus -- in both ears.

Suggests to me that the source is not damage to the sensor.

Yes!! This is exactly it. Your ears are not hearing anything at all, it's your brain hearing it. I think it is nerve damage.
