Self employed so I just lost restaurant access and I'll never take my custom to them ever again.
I wanted to travel across to the south island for business and pleasure but was denied by all.
I was first offered a job at a power Co then offer retracted as all new staff had to be jabbed. But unlikely I was going to give up freedom being self employed.
My wife lost a dental nurse job. Then as laws tightened a dental receptionist job then as a retail clerk she was going to lose that job too but the company still hasn't followed through.
So while I was tested and passed I am aware others were tested more vigorously. Those are the ones that piss me off. Friends and family who knew better. Knew the risks but got shot anyway because of the pressure.
On a positive note I had a mate bowing to the pressure who I'm think I was able to convince to hang tough for a little longer and now is vehemently hate filled for the vaccine mandates.
Rip to those I knew who got vaccine injured. You were warned
I got so many things to say in response to this post, but the restaurant shit is important.
One of my favorite bar's denied me service before there was a vax mandate in Philly. They recently rescinded the policy, and one of the bartenders asked a friend if I would ever be coming back. That's a massive no on my end.
There were two businesses in town that tried to force the mask mandate, they both went under.
Stand firm Save the money Invest in cooking skills I suspect more restaurants will go out of business
You stood up to the system. Good! Thanks for the comment.
across to the south island
Hey fellow kiwi
I'll never take my custom to them ever again.
You know, it is only myself and other kiwis from whom I have heard that response: NEVER to any once-vaxx-apartheid institution, ever
