I get that reputation score is the way Poal identifies trolls, but nine months in I am still unable to even participate in the poll that/s on the homepage today. Is there value in advocating for account age to be considered, or do I just start spamming every thread to hurry up and get me to a level that unlocks the rest of the site features?

This is to prevent sleeper accounts used for gaming votes and data-mining.

If you participate in comments or post interesting content, you'll level up in no time.

I am more of a lurker, guess I need to start getting more involved

Thanks .

While I understand your logic here, I think it does a bit of a disservice to lurkers who would like to participate more but cant due to lacking in powerlevel. For instance back on voat i was a mod for /v/badmovies. I love bad movies and would like to spread that love again, but am unable to here because my level isnt high enough and i dont want to game the system to raise it artificially.

lol What are you talking about? Posting and commenting isn't limited. If it's only about voting, as mentioned, you have to level up.

I was talking about creating a sub, sorry man. AFAIK sub creation is limited by level.

There, now you're yellow-tier like all the cool cats. Go post some content.
