I get that reputation score is the way Poal identifies trolls, but nine months in I am still unable to even participate in the poll that/s on the homepage today. Is there value in advocating for account age to be considered, or do I just start spamming every thread to hurry up and get me to a level that unlocks the rest of the site features?

While I understand your logic here, I think it does a bit of a disservice to lurkers who would like to participate more but cant due to lacking in powerlevel. For instance back on voat i was a mod for /v/badmovies. I love bad movies and would like to spread that love again, but am unable to here because my level isnt high enough and i dont want to game the system to raise it artificially.

I've been here for over a year and I'm fairly active and I'm still yellow, lvl 16, and no badge. I regularly share things that get 30-40+ likes, so I don't think it has all that much to do with posting popular content, so the ranking most likely is based more off of how regularly you interact on other Poaler's posts. I go to share something on Poal like 10-15 times a day and stop myself about half way thru, partly because I assume it's already been shared before and partly because after thinking about it for longer than 5 minutes I start thinking "what's the point?" I've got a couple of "Share to Poal" folders that are full of things I find hilarious but I just assume you all see the same memes I see and just don't share them to avoid redundancy.

You're over thinking things, amigo. If something has already been posted you'll get a warning about it. If it's dopey you'll get your chops busted. If it's quality you'll get responses. Take the stuff from your Share To Poal folder and share it.

Level = square root (net updoots received / 10)

Level 5 = 250 updoots Level 10 = 1000 updoots Level 15 = 2250 updoots

There is a search you can use for finding if something has been posted, and if it hasn't, post it.

I've posted a few times but idgaf the points they get, my biggest problem is timezones. I got to yellow pretty much on commenting stuff.

I'm level 35 and over 12000 points. I wasted a lot of my life earning those points I can never get back, go outside and live and then post the good parts instead of sitting here for hours, get a life, mines gone but DaOwl you still got yours. Another place from around 2000 I had around 12000 private messages and was made a moderator since I was not an angry asshole all the time and I was trustworthy to the site owner from my other postings but that was 5 years wasted after my mother died.

at 58 dying my hair will look pathetic or gayer than fuck so that is out. At my age unless I fall in love the only future is alone and shit and I pray for death at times to give me hope of escape from this hell of loneliness so go outside and find someone before 40 since unless you want shit for a life get someone now.

Then I put in ridiculous text into the template myself. You can change fonts, load images and even create your own templates for maximin shitty memeage. Here's the thing, you can put whatever text you want into these things. Anything! Then I use windows snipping tool to grab it, then post it here. You might get more upvotes if your meme is funny but I wouldn't know.
