I love fasting personally, there's just something so nice about it, don't carbo load myself into feeling like shit. Lately I've noticed I have much more energy, since I'm trying it in conjunction with a keto/carnivore diet. BUT I can't seem to lose any more weight. Like my body is physically stuck at its same weight right now, and outside of a dry diet, I don't see how to get the weight down.I was thinking increasing my fasting window to 20 hours, compared to 18, but outside of that, not entirely too sure how I can get that weight down

Intermittent fasting is not fasting.

Go for a real fast, don't eat for three days. Just put some electrolytes in your water. Don't take electrolyte pills. It'll just give you instant diarrhea.

The converse would be intermittent eating, which is just eating when you think about it. Actually that's a good point now that you mention it. In terms of electrolytes, would salt do, or special type of thing I need to get?

Look up the snake diet on YouTube. You need potassium and sodium, he goes into the ratios. My favorite electrolyte brand is LMNT, cuz it tastes good and also includes magnesium

To lose weight you have to eat less calories than what you burn. Many people do interval feasting instead of interval fasting ...

Not always. You will burn your muscles before you burn fat in most cases.

ans in that case you'd lose even more weight as muscle weighs a fuckton more than fat.

If you have insulin in your blood you cannot burn fat as insulin prevents access to fat from fat cells.

Any amount of blood sugar increase from eating plants causing insulin to increase.

Hence why plant based diets cause obesity. Even cutting back on eating doesn't allow for weight loss and sooner or later diet ends due to no gain so people got fatter and fatter.

Humans are carnivores

Can't beat gentle cardio for weight loss. 2 hours of walking or swimming daily will get the fat melting. I find harsher cardio will make you much hungrier and make it harder to diet, especially if you aren't fat adapted.

Gentle cardio during fasting is a great way to get rid of fat deposits in difficult areas without stressing the body.

One meal a day strict keto diet (less than 10 carbs a day) for a minimum of 45 day cycling. Quick cycle keto doesn't work beyond dropping water weight.

You will stay at the same level of weight for months sometimes and then hit bursts of loss for a fee months. It's normal. If you do keto solely for losing weight it can be a Rollercoaster ride of frustration. Do it for the clarity and energy it gives and make it a life choice because you feel better on it, and the weight loss will be natural.

If you don't eat you WILL lose weight. Losing weight is never the problem. Here's your new daily diet: 1 slim jim, 1 diet coke. You will absolutely lose weight on this diet.

Stop playing games about timing and which foods you eat. It's all about eating less calories although I have personally have found the easiest way to do that is limit your food to only cooked hamburger. Or only tuna fish. Those fill you up in such a way that you don't get hungry even though you eat tiny amounts. And also you have to eat a multivitamin otherwise you'll get cravings from the trace minerals and other vitamins that you're missing. You'll just get random cravings. So I take a multivitamin.

Beyond that eat 500 calories a day in a hamburger only. Cook a bunch of hamburger have the patties cooked and ready and your refrigerator put some salt on them and eat them when you get a little hungry but do the math and make sure you only eat one or two or three a day. After the first day it gets a lot easier your stomach shrinks down you don't get hungry and if you're taking a multivitamin you won't get cravings. And obviously you can't be drinking stuff that have even the trace of a car in it or sugar. It's got to be diet Coke or it's got to be lemon and water and some saccharine or it's got to be unsweetened and uncreamed coffee or just plain water.

But let me tell you if you only one or two hamburger patties a day and you only drink water or unsweetened coffee or diet Coke you're absolutely positively going to lose weight. And it doesn't matter what time of day you eat it or whether you go a stretch without eating or any of that nonsense you're going to lose weight. So stop playing with timing and just restrict your calories.

Keto /carnivore is a weight optimization diet. You should check out for further tips.

Depending upon your age, plateaus are normal. Your body will adjust further.

The secret of the snake diet is the working out. If you continue working out even while you fast, you won't lose muscle. If you don't, you're body will eat muscle first. I have done a bunch of snake diet, including the dry fasts. I am usually weak by day 3, but it does promote healing.

Don't listen to the morons who think they intermittent fasting isn't fasting. "time restricted feeding" is probably the best way to eat over your life.
