I have my own business and I love working on that. But the corporate jobs are draining my soul. It's not that the work can not be interesting, it's that there is virtually no risk/reward system in place of any kind. If you do well, you are seen as average, and the only time anyone gives a fuck is when you're not doing well. At the same time, when you're doing poorly, most companies have such a hard time finding workers now thanks to Biden, they can't fire you. The entire system of caring for these companies is just ... gone. And yet, I want to sympathize with these companies, because they are in a pickle, but these companies would fire me in a heart beat to cover their bottom line, whilst demanding full loyalty from me to be a team player. Just makes me want to focus instead on my business, sure it's not glamorous, and ill be eating shit for a while, but it already nets 300,000/yr with additional work incoming

You net that much from your own business and yet are working for someone else as well?

You're in the UK. Please y'all stop calling cookies biscuits and French fries chips and the pharmacy the chemist and gas petrol.

You feel me?

Seriously

You bellend knob tugging fanny wanker!

Reward good behaviour and you will see more of it. Punish or ignore good behaviour and you see less.

Employment is a game of tug o war between the employer trying to get as much work for as little pay and employee trying to get as much pay for as little work. Apathy sets in when there is no more pay for the employee to gain and they are negotiating how much work is worth that pay. This is why communism will always fail

You got a large family? What is your overhead? Seems like a guy could eat pretty good off that. 300,000 "net" is a good chunk of money.

Virtually no overhead, company is in a good position even for the shit economy, looking to have a few more million in funding come a few months from now. In that case, I can just bite the bullet so to speak and tell thse corporate fucks to pound sand

Need a company website? I'll help you out. Work on building a company and giving your employees an awesome environment they'll care about.

You don't need to be filthy rich to be happy. Once you're making enough to live comfortably, quit the soul sucking job and focus on enjoying the time you have.

You quit your corporate job. I did.

Use the $300,000 / year to hire amazing people who can free up a lot of time for you. Either at your business or, fuck it. Only at your business. It improves and you see the result. You bring in hundreds of millions more for a company that is not yours and you get a pittance.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.
