YouTube Vanced on Android sadly ((they)) are shutting the project down though there won't be further updates or releases. Blocks all the ads and even in video promotions.

For a while. Writers of blocking filters and advertising agencies are locked in a constant, permanent battle of circumvention. Eventually the abandoned legacy app will be no good.
I use Adblock Browser on mobile to remove ads, even on youtube, but it doesn't circumvent paid sponsors that are part of the video.

That was like the ongoing Battle of YouTube DL. But I only really use that for my laptop. Now I download everything allegedly of course on my mobile.

I just tried it out; vanced. I don't know it just sticks me in a YouTube app shell and I honestly hate the way the YouTube app looks. I only use YouTube through Brave and I would love to be able to find something in Brave that could strip all that shit out. I mean as I said earlier Brave gets the commercials out that YouTube puts in but not the paid promotion bullshit.

Yeah, it is a standalone app. I am not sure if disabling the bloated YouTube app will make any YouTube video open in Vanced. I despise anytype of ((marketing)) so if there is something I want to watch in jewtube I look for it manually in Vanced.

Oh I turned off YouTube a while ago. I don't even have it, I have two phones, I don't even have it on this phone. the other phone I do have because I upload every now and then to YouTube.

Well that's what I do. And it stops the Google ads that occur every 30 seconds but it doesn't stop the guy 3 minutes into his discussion drop into a minute long commercial about something I don't care about. That's what I'm trying to get rid of.

my setting connection to HTTPS is on, track and ads standard, cross site cookies blocked, and fingerprint blocked (standard). I also have bit defender for my antivirus too.
