For me it was Gopher, then Alta-Vista, then Yahoo, then Google, then DuckDuckGo, then back to Google when DuckDuckGo promised to censor the shit out of search results for political reasons.

Bing is less censored than Google, and the results are good.

i get zero relevant search results via bing in aus unless im searching for something american.
