The position of Commander in Chief.
What would it take for you to join the US military in peacetime?
Everyone who has joined since WW2 has joined during "peacetime." That hasn't stopped the US from sending troops to fight bankers' wars.
And they were banker wars before that, too.
And they were banker wars before that, too.
Yes, but there were declared wars.
I understand completely. Just reminding those who might think otherwise.
You mean being a cannon fodder for Israel.
And thieving the oil too, huh!???
Rainbow colored bombs and free hormones
Being told I'm going to be the one to nuke Israel.
My town actually being under threat of imminent attack
Fuck that, I'm never going back. Also, the pay sucks and they teach you no skills that can translate to the civillian world. They go on about "leadership" but if you used what passes for leadership in a civillian job you'd be fired within a week.
I almost did right after high school. My ASVAB score was high enough that they didn't leave me alone for a while.
Then I busted my ankle in multiple places and like magic I was no longer eligible for any kind of service. Happy I didn't join, that was just before Iraq I.
I wish I did previously, now seems more closely than ever to war but I would have liked to have gained some survival knowledge.
