I tried to call a relative of mine many times, who later told me he screens calls by letting it go to an answering machine. Only it never did. So I wrote to him via snail mail. When he finally called me, my phone hung up after only one ring. When I returned his call, I reached a "Funeral Scheduling" service.

Also, several text messages I sent and received while on a road trip were not received until three days later.

Have things like this happened to anyone else? What might explain it?

Modern phone services just suck. As carriers race to the bottom, there's less incentive to make the network work properly, for every call you get misdirected there are 100,000 that go through so no one cares about you.

When I had incoming voice service, it wasn't unusual to get VM notifications of a call that never rang. Verizon <--> T-Mobile used to send duplicate texts all the time, I'd get 3 in a row from people. It's only going to get worse as carriers fight to be the fastest without worrying about making things work first.

For many months someone I work for could not call me. It would stop ringing me after two rings. Other calls from the same carrier worked fine, and other phones. Just this one person (who calls me the most). I traced it down to some kind of number block, because it worked fine hen they did *67 first (anonymous call). The caller ID comes between the first and second ring. It finally fixed itself magically recently, after like half a year.

I've had similar. Stuff would just quit, and then one day fine. T-Mobile still can't tell me why there's a notification on my account stating that once we reach June 15 2015, automatic payments will restart.

The paranoid take is that you are on poal, which has a larger audience and more affect on public discourse (downstream) than you think. and because you are on poal, or people affected talk to someone who is, you are on a list. And everyone on that list is a target for disruption in their daily lives, be it phone, messages, or email, the object of which is to disrupt your relationships, family, friends, and business.

Happened under the the east german communists, and if you think it can't happen here you should have read some of the wild shit they did to trump, let alone those guys in the whitmar kidnapping plot.

If I were paranoid along those lines of thought, it would be for reasons far more direct than being here on Poal, way back in 2006. I had evidence of government tapping my phone and conducting two sneak-and-peaks into my bedroom, looking for photographs in the Franklin Cover-up. I believe that since (((they))) pursued me for a decade until their shabbos goy internet talkshow host forced me into bankruptcy over a completely fabricated lawsuit that I didn't lose (which I have not written about publicly because I do not need any more legal troubles from that perpetrator). I had hoped they got bored with me by now and are ignoring me. You can read a simplified version of my experience here:

Tom berenger always blowing up my phone

Also, several text messages I sent and received while on a road trip were not received until three days later.

This happened to me several times. Text messages were delayed several days, and then they came through all at once. The jews are behind it.

I know a business owner with business service lines and for almost a month no calls are delivered to any of his lines. They all go to voice mail, and he's not notified of voice mail until 1-2 days later. He's reached out to his carrier and no one will fix or give him an answer as to what's causing it.

We've had calls not ring our phones and go to voice mail, as well. Service is shit everywhere.

That truly sucks. Was it Verizon?

Verizon for the businessman. A different but equally large provider for us. Everyone shares all the same networks, so it's really a matter of just figuring out which will be the smaller bill these days. Ting was great, but had a lot of dead zones in my neck of the woods, or I'd still be with them. Some months my bills were barely $10.

I had a friend who's phone number kept calling another friend's mom nonstop. She begged him to stop calling, but he wasn't doing it. He even took the battery out and her phone kept ringing with his number. It was weird.

The streetshitter customer service at my TMobile piggyback can't even understand English, they just know how to sound out the letters on the computer screen.

They obviously can't fix network problems if the customer service are too retarded to understand simple concepts.

Unfortunately this is why I still use Google Voice.

Try it on a different phone.
