I wouldn't go too far into domestic "Info Wars" territory, especially when it comes to dead Americans in terrorist or shooting incidents. If your aim is to wake up NPCs, they aren't going to be drawn in with something so brazen. Ease them in with some gentle bait, and then dial it up gradually. Don't start churning out the 6 gorillion memes from the get-go.
