They wont start an atomic war because (((they))) don't need to. The fear of nuclear war is enough - can sell lots of weapons that way for proxy wars. People who are fearful wont question their loss of civil liberties in the name of "stopping Putin" or whatever excuse they use.

I give it about a 30% by year end. I see it as the end result of escalating belligerence leading to one nation or another in an existential crisis.

US/NATO is supplying arms to Ukraine. Russia has shot down one cargo plane with weapons on it. It won't be long before US/NATO troops are escorting a weapons convoy through Ukraine and Russia attacks it. Not long after that US/NATO air assets will be deployed from outside Ukraine. Russia attacks the operating bases then US/NATO attack Russian forces in Russia. Russia then attacks US assets in CONUS and things really heat up. Things stay conventional until one side is winning too much and then they go nuclear.

There will never be a nuclear war unless all world superpowers and their allies become full-on dictatorships run by suicidal fanatics that would happy bring about their own (very preventable) death for some ideological victory. Even then, anti-air countermeasures have at this point reached a level where anything short of a hypersonic missile that randomly and drastically changes its direction in-flight would be able to make it anywhere close to a target while transporting the nuke.

Right now the elites are trying to provoke a war with Russia and are betting that Russia won't use nuclear weapons. It's a dangerous game they're playing. Because Russia absolutely will.

It won't happen unless a really major atrocity is done or believed to. AFAIK all countries having nukes need multiple operators to launch. It's still mutual destruction, no one will make the first move, the only willing move is not to play. (in the 80s, movie AI knew this)

No, you don't trigger the apocalypse because of atrocities in a regional conflict, it's completely off the table

But then it completely depends on the objective; is "nuclear armageddon" the objective here? This is something that must be considered, because NATO powers crossed the red line with russia, and they knew, every single geopolitical observer knew, that NATO was crossing the line/breaking the status quo, everybody knew this wouldn't fly with russia

But they did anyway

So it begs questions

My opinion is that the US/UK/Anglos want to start a hot war in europe between russia and the rest
