Humans are hardwired for conflict. If there is no conflict, we will create one. Think about Adam and Eve - we had paradise and we ruined it. Women’s inherent dissatisfaction and men’s love and trust - aka spoiled boredom and careless tolerance - were and will always be our downfall. When humans get rich, fed and happy, we get lazy and apathetic and a new stronger, hungrier, meaner group takes over. That’s life.
“Utopia” is an idea for non-mortal beings. That’s why many religions put “paradise” in the afterlife.
Life is competition. That is the rule. To live is to struggle and strive and vie for better things. If you do not want to compete anymore, then you die.
