used to be a main sub, but became a catch-all when the voaters migrated here during the realVoat shutdown. These users were simply dumping everything into this sub without even bothering to learn how this site works, and then whined about it when asked not to do that. It was locked out for everyone except mods and has remained that way ever since.
That's correct. A that time, the front page was exclusively filled with posts from that sub.
The intent was malicious since it was only a dozen accounts that were flooding it with low effort posts (mostly memes) meant to slide and posts (two of the most popular subs).
I was actually wondering about this recently. (Not the cause, but whether it needs to stay that way.)
It probably should stay locked. I know I would start dumping whatever in it if it were open, that's the fucking name after all. Better yet, why not just get rid of it all together instead of having a Mod only sub that annoyingly tags everything as NSFW.
