Personally I think it was kind of a soft reset. They got a lot of people to shift societal norms over 2 years and reevaluate what they want from life. Definitely shifted perspective on a lot of things.

It's also not gone, it can and will be used again when they want to. They're already telegraphing their fake numbers about a "covid surge" in-time to use mail-in ballots again.
