Narcissus coworker got me to landscape her yard. According to her I did a fantastic job. That is until I wanted paid. Then she went insane saying all sorts of vulgar insults and threats. Just truly vulgar accusations and threats. It escalated till I called the police and instantly she went all sweet and nice and the cops totally believed her and told me I was the bad guy taking advantage of such a nice person but they couldn't arrest me since I had broken no laws.

Always have a written contract that specifies what you are going to do and what you're not going to do and how much you will get paid and when. Have it signed in the presence of a third party.
