Gas lawnmower will last you a decade or two if maintained minimally, electric…. Better price replacement batteries, know in a year or two you will need them, and the whole thing will need replaced within 4 years. Likely after doing that math you realize it’s a bad deal.

If you ever let the charge drop below 20%, either from storing it in the winter or mowing too long, your battery will lose capacity. If it goes to 0% for a long time, you fuck the battery up. Oh, and if you charge it above 80% or store it plugged in? Guess what, you lose battery capacity.
Electric can refer to the vastly superior corded electric.

I bought the extended five year warranty plan under the theory it will crap out in four and I can replace it for free.
