Very people can store enough food for more than a month or even a week.

So what can be grown in the smallest amount of space to be self sustaining?

Potatoes in barrels? Vertical hydro phonics? What plants?Tilapia farming in crates?

Egg laying chickens? Meat chickens?

Beans? The dreaded bugs?

What?

No we aren't talking people with a few acres. I mean people who have to go victory garden style in 1/4 acre or less.

Let's say shit was going to be scarce for 2 years.

Air rifle and pellets imo.

You don't need bullets to kill rabbits or birds and cheap as fuck.

get a pcp and you could take out cats and foxes if you were really hungry.

There aren't near enough of those in modern places to feed even one person for a year an certainly not when everyone hunts them. They won't last 3 days.

If you're in a city or big town you're fucked anyway, just about everything is farmed in the country to sustain cities.

You don't need to do it, but you don't want food on display either if you've got hungry ass neighbours and a garden full of crops and chickens.

Maybe in the states everyone has guns it sucks, but barely anyone has them where I live so it's a good option for me.
