Not touching family stuff--too personal and sad.
I have not seen anything supporting the idea that most men are carriers or that it can be passed from a mother to son. Since you mention it I will have to look deeper.
I still stand on training children to avoid promiscuity. If it is possible for a virgin male to be infected then the whole anti vax rational has to be questioned further.
Saving this for posterity. An intelligent reply to my vaccine stance on poal.
There is some evidence for vertical transmission, mother to child. Lack of data as yet, but seems to be low probability. Thus, even assuming 100% infection rate for mothers, the number of children who would be HPV positive as virgins would be under 10%. It follows that a virgin daughter could marry a virgin male who could infect her. This suggests testing for couples interested in keeping HPV out of their lives. Rather than mass vaccinating female children, perhaps we could test mothers at birth and vaccinate only children exposed.
Since this is poal I should also remind you of your status as a homosexual person of african ancestry....

I laughed so hard at this that my dog started baking a little.
