There are several features on Poal that only activate after your points/rank has reached a certain level. These features include the report button and seeing who downvoted you. There may be other point-based limitations like sub transfer and/or sub creation. While imaginary internet points don't matter in terms of content, they do matter for access to some features.
didn't know about the downvote identifying thing though I've seen the report and used it one time on a spam post. I did not care about the downvote id thing though. I guess if someone downvotes me they did not agree so be it, doesn't really matter to me though. I rarely downvote but when I do it's for a misleading link title like cdc admits and they don't admit a thing it's just bullshit so downvote is called for in my mind to disincentify the posting of garbage that just not voting does not convey like facebook or youtube no downvote arrows at all on some posts. Hell when you reach a certain level you should be able to downvote with no problems. Though that with giving admins owners of site having the ability to remove that function permanently if they downvote another users posts in mass being an asshole would be a good reason or a group of users that made them show they were stupid then they did the downvote thing out of control. Heck a dozen free downvotes as long as they are not abused would be a good workaround.

2 yrs I think level 37 or 32 and over 10000 points. Haven't looked at it till yesterday because of some post and it's the only time in the past few months I actually took a second to do that.
