Just like the first amendment being to make clear that the government's powers don't include suppressing critical speech of it, the second makes clear that its powers don't include suppressing people having arms to use against government should it become corrupt. It's an attempt to protect us from government. Government doesn't care about things that don't threaten it.

I start to believe separatism is the most realistic solution. The system is so broken, it will be extremely hard to unbreak it. We should build new societies.
