97% of the hippies were wannabes. They dressed the part and hung out desperately trying to look cool -- AKA not look square -- but after a few months or possibly years grew up enough to get on with their lives. Unfortunately the stamp of the Cultural Marxists -- because the hippie movement was born out of Cultural Marxist teachings -- stuck with them for the rest of their lives and these now seemingly normal members of society would go on to infest governments and education and champion their West hating ideals, leading to the evolution of 3rd wave feminism, the SJW movement, BLM, feelings over facts, the current gender fiasco, and etc.
The remaining 3% hardcore hippies were basically of one of two groups: Those that fully embraced the ideals and spent the rest of their lives 'checked out' of society. This could be something like driving around in a VW bus looking for the perfect wave to eventually settle in some small coastal town and make some sort of living selling art or doing odd jobs. Often they dragged a pack of scruffy kids around with them who would grow up to be film makers and inevitably write and direct some indy film about their shitty upbring at the hands of a pair of irresponsible idealist potheads.
The other group were the truly hardcore hippies. These became, often violent, activists and either ended up in jail or on the run for the rest of their lives. Or dead from a drug OD.
In case it's not clear the 97% wannabe hippies are the real evil here.
I met some hippies in Golden Gate Park in 2007. Dirty lowlife losers. All hundreds of them. It was fucked. I CAN'T imagine what it is like now. I see videos, but the smell must be peachy.
