I always enjoy Media Monarchy's year end mix tape: https://mediamonarchy.com/best-of-2021/
Check out "Gunship" it's much like 80's nostalgia but awesome.
If you have a Pandora account, it will automatically save some music for offline mode. Not sure if you can choose when it does that, but it's also Pandora, so you would only have minimal influence on what gets saved.
I do, amd that’s why I’m sort of screwed now. Got lazy with pandora, trained my stations well. It doesn’t seem to store anything offline though, as soon as I leave signal range it’s dead in one song.
Maybe I’m missing a setting?
Funny, I just canceled my Plus subscription recently. I loaded Pandora just now to check that setting and it told me it's only for paid subscribers.
Ah, that’s it then. I’m a total cheapskate with apps…
what genre you want?

It's getting pretty scant / lacking these days. Their announcement for support for Ukraine probably signals something. ISPs dinging people if they get caught on certain torrents doesn't help surely.
Until they knock on my door it works for me, so called support for ukraine is a positive right? /s
I wasn't able to find the original batman cartoons there and a few others. Normally I trusted it for finding anything.
Haircuts for Men is on jew tube. Underrated Albums channel is filled with great bands. Check that shit out. So much great music out there actually.

Lately it’s been a bluegrass kick, sturgill Simpson or maybe the steeldrivers kind of thing, always enjoyed electronica of many flavors , and much more as well. Not rap or any sort of pop.
I recently discovered this and I enjoy it: https://archive.org/details/spiritual-rave-tech-house-original-mix-2019
If what.cd was still around, I'd give you an invite. It was the best private music tracker the world's ever seen.
