To me bitching seems like complaining which is sometimes justified and useful while kvetching is more like whining about every minor thing for no useful purpose.

Bitching is typically complaining which isn't justified. Like complaining about having to do your job when you know full well it's your job but you just don't really feel like doing it at that moment. That's bitching.
