Personally, I think romance novels suck. They set unrealistic expectations, and generally are corny as hell. A true relationship where both are comfortable and honest with one another is where it's at. Nothing will ever be perfect, or glamorous, but it really doesn't need to be. However, I won't lie, I love watching Outlander. Seriously, Sam could just sit there for about 45 min. doing absolutely nothing, and I'd still watch (I find him very attractive).
Be you woman, or be you faggot,
You haven't read a True Romance Novel
I'm a woman, I just do not like romance novels. I do enjoy books with a bit more substance to them, especially historically themed stories. I've enjoyed everything from The Templar Legacy, by Steve Berry to both No Longer Human, and the Setting Sun by Osamu Dazai (talk about a strange and sad fellow). I'm not a huge Dean Koontz fan, but I have to say that I really did like his book From the Corner of His Eye.
Give me a writing prompt and I'll let you read the romance short story you didn't know you couldn't live without
