Maybe it doesn't matter to the centipede that it is living in a tiny limited ecosystem within an enormous nearly unlimted ecosystem - or maybe it should? Maybe it longs for a larger area or to live more freely in an ecosystem that isn't limited to the pickings of another form which decided its specific configuration. Abstracting our reality into 'base energy' does not necessarily help us answer the more immediate questions pertaining to the shape and limitations of our dome - nor how many domes within domes we may be situated at.
