I believe we are overall similarly built.

You'll see humans actually have the most neurons (at least supposedly in the cerebral cortex). I think it's less of our brains are just built differently, than we just have way more neurons. However it's also because we're built differently in the brain, just like we see other animals built differently physically. However overall, we're more over the same just with more neurons.
