Ignorant take.
How are drones spotted.
By shining a large spotlight into the sky.
Oh look other drones hidden from the spotlight aka radar have now got a homing beacon to launch a missile at.
Modern war is very much imperfect rock scissors paper but rifleman are just Canon fodder

Uh, no. That's ridiculous, this isn't an old World War Two movie, and even those fuckers had some radar and observation balloons and so forth.. Drones are spotted by the massive radio signature that they exhibit, due to the high-frequency requirements of such a system. It's sending back high-definition visual data and telemetry, and that stands out like a sore thumb and can even be jammed under some circumstances.
Good point.
Jamming is definitely a major part of modern war.
Off topic is that it's a damn shame usa didn't replace its a6 squadrons. The f18 growler is not in the same class.
Ecm is certainly one tool but notoriously difficult but rdf is even more impossible.
Meanwhile hundreds of drones under safe operators control are pounding your positions while techs struggle to find frequencies and triangulate positions in a battle over in minutes.
Oh look you tried to send up aircraft but drones were already right next to airfields lying doggo until the huge expensive jets left their bunkers
I'm still in mourning for my beloved Warthog.
