It's very likely that in the not too distant future there will be a split of the United States into two or more separate nations. Maybe this can be avoided if the demonic liberal fascists can be removed from power, and if the corporate media can be muzzled, but I doubt it.

Nah. I think they are too scared at this point and they are starting to get sheepish. They will hand power over to the republicans, things will go back to normal for a bit, they will be more covert for a while, and they'll come back into full swing 2-4 years after that. They take their time. They're opportunists.
