Okay so i haz background in manufacturing.

If had to keep a box of tools readily available what are gonna be my main go to?

I know still need -magnet base indicator holder -indicator to go with the base -probably need some wrenches and sockets, stuff like that -everyone else before me had pictures so guessing need that too -also need a giant adjustable wrench, already learned that lesson -gonna need a hammer as well (various types I'd assume) -Books on robotic languages?

Other than all that missing, I'm set to make something... My biggest problem is the more i learn, becomes the less they need my coworkers, granted everything seems so 1984 so trust nobody and only worry about myself-ism is very popular currently things seem.

Mechanical or Digital Calipers are useful in many scenarios.

Yeah got set of dial calps and 0-6 mics. Still stuck deciding whether to sell and find new career or hold onto and see where next journey takes me. Last person i taught how to read them, they fire the next day so definitely useful tools to have.

In 18 months there will be no concept of 'careers'. all that navel gazing far-flung shit is going away, like the rest of the american dream.

If you don't own any, I advise you to invest in guns and food, and gas masks, even at this late an hour.

Biodiesel setups would also be a plus.

More farm equipment too and supplies, while they last.

My next tool/investment is a walk plow. Still dreading way things are going, been definitely trying to keep up more with way society is heading oppose to products for my career.

WTF are you talking about? Missing for what? Literally every single tool in existence is for something. So unless you have them all, depending on what you are doing you are missing every tool you don't have.

Mig/Tig welder. Band saw. Drill press.

Nevermind the hammer. Anything can be used one. You need cable ties and duct tape. Put an MRE in your box in case you get peckish on site.

Adding to all the stuff already noted: Fluke 87V or Fluke 28

Sure I'll toss in. Not in engineering or manufacturing, but here's some stuff I use regularly:

Couple moraknives, exactoblades, precision snips, power snips, scissors, wirecutters/strippers, pry bar, machete, hatchet & axe

Flashlights, magnet lights, inspection pen-light, hanging extension cord lights, LED strips, extension cords, heavy duty battery-backup surge protectors

Tapes, masking, duct, gorilla, medical, scotch, double-sided heavy duty, marking tape, packing tape, electrical tape

Glues, construction adhesive, caulking, waterproofing paste (henrys), waterproofing tape & spray

Staple gun, wire, zip ties, metal "zip ties," paracord, rope, string & hi-vis sting, metal loops, carabiners

Cables, connectors, spare boards, solder iron & solder remover, types of solder, 3d printer filament, various coper wiring, bread boards, electrical bits

Various fasteners, concrete screws, metal linkages for wood stuff, washers, bolts, wingnuts

Measuring tape, ruler, protractor, compass, squares, chalk line, heavy pencil, perm marker

Hacksaw, woodsaw, silky saw (outdoor stuff), plant shears, whittling tools, chisels, screwdrivers & hand drill

Lighter, blowtorch, plasma lighter, matches, firesteel, fire cubes & fatwood

Basic powertool stuff, I like ryobi for the smaller tasks. Once you have like 6-8 batteries it gets pretty cool. Grinder, drills, jigsaw, sawzall, sanders, battery dremel & plug-in, chop saw, weed whackers, etc

Safety goggles, face shield & welding shield, various gloves per material, welding apron & wood / work apron

Car stuff, cleaning wipes, funnels, oil pans, junk liquid tanks, gas cans, lubricants, coolants, wrenches & ratchets w/ connectors, paints, sprays, etc

Titanium toothpick, tweezers, multitool, prod, plumbline weights, alan wrenches, jewelry screwdrivers, hammer & rubber mallet, misc weird "EDC" tools

Broom, shovel, rake, scoop, gardening hand tools,

Yeah, that's what comes to mind. Probs missed a few things, but it covers quite the swath just listing that. Could get more specific based on activity although this fits the general misc tasks imo

Get an actuating socket wrench for bolts at wierd angles, and you'll probably want allen heads for it.

Rubber, plastic, metal hammers

Screw drivers, varying lengths and sizes

Allen wrenches, standard and metric

Flashlight

Magnet

Tape

Plastic bags

Zipties

You are asking what to keep in a toolbox?

2 sets of box end wrenches (standard and metric) 2 sets of hex wrenches Large set of drivers for a drill Power drill and impact gun Screwdrivers Socket kit for metric and standard Hammers - ball, claw, rubber Pry bar set Clamps Vice grips Channel lock wrenches

These tools should cover almost anything you need to fix. If you are building things you will find you need more tools like sanders, grinders, etc. If you are working on cars, your going to need specialty tools, torches, and welders.

Oh yeah, your going to need a big, heavy, and expensive tool box.

I'm still designing that part. Got a few things need to find that will complete the build. For now though at least it's big and rolls, I'll definitely have to look into that heavy and expensive part more though.
