I know a white woman who really got into critical race theory. It seems to be a big part of her identity. She really fell hard for the provax stuff too. Checked her social media recently to see if she was going along with the standard narrative about Ukraine. She hadn't made a single post about it. She just went back to posting stuff about race and LGBTQ. It's like she went back into default mode when the Covid media coverage ended. Guessing she considers all the concern about Ukranians to be an example of white privilege.

I'm not actually happy about the Redditors who got blown up in Ukraine. I think there was hope for them. They were empathetic enough towards white people to put their lives on the line, even if they didn't realize the extent of the danger they were walking into.

Very true.

In this case, I don't think the Redditors were doing something evil, but they were just misled about how well Ukraine is doing so they were tricked into doing something much more dangerous than they expected. Some of the volunteers were apparently not even being given weapons because of supply issues.
