Everywhere that is still overwhelmingly white is becoming more expensive but it's all relative. An 1800 sq ft 3 bedroom house in my town on less than an acre of property will run you 800K at a minimum. I could buy 50000 acres in any of those states, custom build something off-grid, and still have 250K in the bank (or in bullion, buried on the property) when I'm done. Now if I could only convince my wife. The idea of moving an hour away from a town of fewer than 5000 people gives her the willies. Granted, If I were living in the wilds north of Douglas, WY right now I'd be dead. There's not much in the way of 911 and hospitals out there.
