No, just means I try not to speak in nor memorise abbreviations as it can cause confusion.

Yeah, as soon as you're not in the "young" crowd you might begin to see the large number of acronyms that have accrued, when lol gets completely replaced, like it did from Lots of Love to Laugh Out Loud and when Automated Teller Machines become more popular in your vocabulary than At The Moment, then you may begin to understand the folly of abbreviations.
