Same. Beer as well. Trying to cut down on both right now but jesus the news.cycle makes it hard.
If you're going to drink stick to liquor and avoid beer like the plague. If you want something to drink without too much worry of overdrinking then water it down. It's a cheaper and healthier alternative.
That's like saying taco bell is healthier than McDonalds.
There's a big calorie difference between beer and liquor of for when looking at calories per ounce of alcohol.
I always figured since beer was 95% water it was easier on the body to break down VS hard liquor that 40-45% abv and hits you a lot harder. I know there are zero carbs in it, but it still causes the blood sugar to crash out.
