same. got 5 ring camera floodlights (1080p) through amazon for the property. They work well, I loathe that you have to pay them monthly to keep your video footage though.
It gets fucking cold here ...so , their outdoor lights are highest rated for cold weather and ..outside of the completely fucking useless doorbell (which was the most expensive) the others hold up. The doorbell I have to change out the batteries at least once a month....up to once a week when it's super cold.
The Eufy 2k pan someone goes on sale for $40. Decent indoor camera without a monthly fee. I found a Ring wired doorbell camera for $3 at a thrift shop. It's pretty nice, and no battery.
interesting. I don't remember my version of the ring doorbell, but even though I have a trickle charge going to it the battery on it lasts like dick. Wish I would've gone with nest for that part.
I have only 1 indoor camera and I leave it unplugged unless I have to leave. The idea of monitoring the inside 24/7 for the NSA bothers tf out of me.
The Eufy pan points down into itself when you turn it off in the app. Physically you just see the memory card slow pointing forward, no camera lens. It could still be listening, though. For my non-pan indoor cameras I have a switch to cut power when I'm home.
