Every time I search for a product for sale they're the first search result. Amazon used to be a decent place to shop, even if you were financing a woke asshole. It's turned into a massive cesspool of Chinese trash. It's so bad that you literally can't buy name brand products in many categories on Amazon any more.

Walk into a Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Ace, or similar store and look for a space heater. You're going to see brands like Black and Decker, Honeywell, Lasko, or Holmes. Now look for one on Amazon and it's all gibberish brands like Brightown, Andily, Govee, and Dreo, and they're usually not even UL listed.

Who wants to buy all that junk Chinese trash? I just don't get it.

same. got 5 ring camera floodlights (1080p) through amazon for the property. They work well, I loathe that you have to pay them monthly to keep your video footage though.

It gets fucking cold here ...so , their outdoor lights are highest rated for cold weather and ..outside of the completely fucking useless doorbell (which was the most expensive) the others hold up. The doorbell I have to change out the batteries at least once a month....up to once a week when it's super cold.

Granted, while Amazon is nothing more than a glorified catalogue that displays every store's merch on a single website, and catalogues them by brand/item/departments... and then gives customers access to review the product. (not exactly ground breaking) . They did do it early enough and clean enough (no ads) that they've built an empire off it.

Despite their what their search results would have you believe, there are actual reputable brands on Amazon. You pretty much are required to do a “site:amazon.com” on an external search engine to find them though

You'd be surprised how much easier the internet is to use when you're not a retard. Give it a shot. You might like it.

Actually yes, you do. You can search exact product names, even in quotes, and you'll get back page after page of the same rebrand generic products from fake companies with literally random all-caps names like AZBUR, PJMSQ, CLPTZ, and others. Sometimes the results aren't even the same type of product you were after. The mobile apps are even worse since they ignore search operators entirely. Retard

Also big box has their own versions (cheaper) of products. A water heater from the plumbing supply house is different than the Lowe’s model, for example.

American brands made in China have two advantages:

  1. There's an American company to contact in case of warranty issues in your timezone that speaks your language.
  2. For products that deal with electricity, they are probably UL listed. Don't trust Chinese brands that say they're UL listed. Look them up and verify that they are. I run into products that claim to be UL listed or NSF certified that most definitely are not.
