Well, now that's going to be CentralBankCoin and its going to be programmable. It will allot how much (if any) of something you can or can't buy. Its going to be tied to your phone which will have different access based on what social class you're part of.
Certainly, there will be some form of hard cash that is kept in low circulation so things can still be purchased (hookers, drugs, an extra soyburger etc). Ernst Juenger talks about smartphones, digital currencies, etc, in depth in Eumeswil (1977). Highly recommend.

I've considered it. I also wrote an essay about the NSA third echelon in 2009 - years before snowden. I got the same comment on the essay,
