Yes, because most 3rd world shitholes will provide you with the bare basic necessities to live.

I guess it depends on how bad it gets. "Bare necessities" in America is a lot more than "bare necessities" in Guatemala. And I guess the "poor" have a lot more than bare necessities. Some combination of that.
