the issue is that they are in the workforce, and generally they will accept less pay than you for the same job, yet not perform. this is why the revolving door continues. companies continue to try to save money, yet, still lose it on the back end.
Less pay for the same job is illegal, and a lawsuit they will win effortlessly. The fact is, men work longer hours/weekends/holidays, that's why they earn more.

That said, it's simply not the way it works elsewhere. No one's skillBase is exactly the same. And, if I offer you a job for 80k, and you accept, that's on you.
