German Infantry? Italian. Swiss. Austrian. US?

I'm not doing French again, they were cheap for a reason.

I've always worn Red Wings, so if I can't find a cheap surplus boot I'll have to buy another pair I guess

Depending on your price range, Nick's, White's, and Frank's boots are the current pinnacle of leather upper / vibram-soled boots. Nothing else is even close.

Not looking to spend that, I need a pair of camping boots I can thrash. I have good boots already.

Then red wings are great. Hawthorne's and Georgia boots too.
