Nah,my pair is a year old. I get 2 + years out of them. If it wasn't for construction wearing holes in the outside edge,they last longer. Wash your feet,change your socks,and stay out of swampy water. They don't smell after 2+ years

Bought my first pair with my first check when I was 16, they were about $100 and tall mid-calf "chainsaw proof"

That's not a bad price considering how much you earn doing a job that justifies such a boot
