German Infantry? Italian. Swiss. Austrian. US?

I'm not doing French again, they were cheap for a reason.

Wet weather for camping and hiking.

I've always worn Red Wings, so if I can't find a cheap surplus boot I'll have to buy another pair I guess

The Redwing boot is the best boot. Nothing else compares.

More like 250. Been outta the game for a while?

Nah,my pair is a year old. I get 2 + years out of them. If it wasn't for construction wearing holes in the outside edge, they last longer. Wash your feet, change your socks, and stay out of swampy water. They don't smell after 2+ years

Bought my first pair with my first check when I was 16, they were about $100 and tall mid-calf "chainsaw proof"

That's not a bad price considering how much you earn doing a job that justifies such a boot

Be a real man and go barefooted. ;)

All joking aside: I'm in a warm part of the country and always wear a minimalist "barefoot" running shoe. These minimalist shoes protect your feet from cuts and provides traction. But, beyond that - your feet do the work. The muscles in your feet will strengthen and you will have healthier / stronger feet.

As a bonus: They dry very quickly (even while I'm wearing them) so I never stress about walking thru water. Also, no nasty socks while camping!

I get cheap ones for $25-30. They last about 1 year. Not very long just because they are so thin. But, they are cheap enough I don't mind replacing.

The one time I had US Paratrooper boots they lasted me years. Also they said made in china on them...

These are the boots I wear daily. https://www.big5sportinggoods.com/store/details/response-gear-side-zip-ii-mens-service-boots/5385104970005/_/A-3881471

They are a cheap $40 pair. They last anywhere from 6 months to a year. However I just buy a new pair when I wear them out.

One time I bought Magnum brand from a Police Uniform Store. They costed $150 and they broke in 2 months. Never will I drop a ton of money on boots again.

Oakley, made in the USA for their standard issue pro store. Get someone with access to buy them for you

I have a pair of all leather jungle boots from a long time ago. I got them from one of the surplus stores near Camp Pendleton. I think they were $40ish and were fantastic once broken in. I don't recall the brand, but I think they were the same brand that made/makes the GI Jungle Boots.

This may just overwhelm you with information but go to Sportsmansguide.com and look at military surplus boots.

I’ve purchased a couple different Irish Setter BOA clasp boots from their hunting section and been pleased. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/productlist?k=boa%20boots

Sportsman's Guide and Coleman's are places I've used for a long time. Thanks!

When I was 18 I bought a pair of Viet Kong jungle boots that lasted me until I lost them in a move in my 30s.

Carolina makes good boots and still makes some in usa Www.carolinashoe.com

Nobody answered the question. I think I'll go Swiss. Thanks for telling me the boots I already own are good. I knew that. I own them.

Depending on your price range, Nick's, White's, and Frank's boots are the current pinnacle of leather upper / vibram-soled boots. Nothing else is even close.

Not looking to spend that, I need a pair of camping boots I can thrash. I have good boots already.

Then red wings are great. Hawthorne's and Georgia boots too.
