Sometimes I wonder if Jews originated in the steppes, migrated or were pushed into the middle east. Kinda the opposite of the theory. Of course there's several other theories, that could be mutually compatible in some instances. Neanderthal remnant, Hyksos, etc.
Also, I'd say their Phoenician allies played a large part in corrupting them, along with intermarriage, and gave them valuable insight in the diaspora
