Take a look at how many foreign countries have US troops stationed in them, and then ask yourself "What are those troops really doing there?" If you think they are there to protect foreign nationals, you are deluded. They are there to sustain the American Empire. Do you really believe the Germans and Japanese want American troops on their soil, or American warships in their harbors, after what happened in WW2? No, they cannot eject those troops, so they pretend they are on their soil voluntarily. These American military bases are occupying armies. Sometimes they are only symbolic, but that is because the power of the American Empire has been so great, the US didn't need to install an actual fighting force in most foreign countries.
