So I can rent a uhaul and load it up with tons of expensive shit and drive it across the country with no experience at all and my insurance company doesn't have a problem with that.

If I want to get a trailer and haul and empty box truck across the country with a value of about 40k I have to get some insane hauler insurance like 400 a month up to 1k a month?

What the fuck I can not find reasonable hauler insurance any where I'm a one man show but have a hook up to haul trucks cross country at about 2 dollars a mile but the insurance side is killing me

There's always been a disconnect between consumer and commercial type stuff. Consumer, you're hauling your own stuff so you're the only potential claimant for loss of goods, but with a commercial vehicle (even if you're not using it as such) there's potential for others to make claims against you, and ultimately, your insurance carrier. Insurance it's black and white, doesn't matter what you're actually using the vehicle for.
