We met in a bar. At the time, we were both young. As we began dating more, we ditched the bars and started planning weekend getaways like skiing or paragliding. Two weeks after we married in a simple ceremony without fanfare, she discovered she was pregnant. As our family began to grow, so did our desire to reconnect with God.
My suggestion for finding a mate is to stop playing games. It's easy to bag a short term girlfriend by being someone whom you're not, and you may even get married. But to have a sustainable marriage, you must have honesty and that honesty should be the foundation of the relationship and not something that is wedged in later.
Continue working on yourself and be the person you are proud to be. Develop hobbies and seek friendship and fellowship based on those hobbies, whether they be working out, hunting, hiking, or religion. As you surround yourself with others of common values and interests, you will meet and be introduced to women that think as you do. But throughout all of this, stay true to yourself and avoid being the person you think others prefer.
