It was truly hilarious to see Yael Eckstein (actually I don't think he appeared in this spot) -- and his female compatriot already renewing their very specific calls to help specific people. I think I actually conceived that this would happen (an updated IFoCJ ad) before it did, and when I saw it, it was hilarious. I'm not a psychic, I just know that /they/ never let a crisis go to waste...

There's like a handful of Jews in Ukraine. A handful.

You know they go out into eastern Belarus or Moldova and find some remote, desolate, incredibly poor, unchanged since 1910 village and give some food and vodka to old peasant women and ask them to tell stories of their deceased relatives and get them crying for the camera. You know that's how they film these "hungry, elderly Jews are at risk in the cold winter!" commercials..
