The problem with your question is you don't offer an alternative to mandatory taxation; the two scenarios are the same. I agree with both of the previous commenters' answers to your ill-formed question. A much better question would have been, Would your view of our federal government change if they stopped mandating taxes on citiizens and instead relied on foreign tariffs?
